So You Are an Atheist?
Many people claim to be atheists. Maybe this is your claim. I can sympathize with atheists in that we cannot see God, and so many bad things occur on this earth, if God is good like the Bible says. However, being an atheist is not logical. The definition of an atheist according to the dictionary is someone who denies the existence of God. But how can you say something or someone does not exist. That is an absolute statement that cannot be proven. And if God does not exist, there is no basis for saying anything is right or wrong, good or bad. We cannot even say that the “bad” things that occur on earth are bad. Do you want to say that the actions of Hitler and Stalin were not evil. So, logically the best you can say is that you do not think the existence of God is probable, which is of course a subjective thought. You may want to reclassify yourself as an agnostic—a more logical choice. Don’t you see how saying you are an atheist is not rational?
